From this month onwards, MSC will make a TV comeback with the premiere of the brand new show Building Paradise Island that will air across the world on National Geographic TV Channel.
Have you ever wondered how a paradisiacal island comes together? This new three-part documentary series follows the transformation of Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve from a sand excavation site to a stunning private island destination and thriving marine reserve.
Filmed over two years, a camera crew followed every step of this major construction project including the clearing of the tons of industrial waste, the reshaping of the island and installation of revetments, facility and infrastructure construction, the installation of a pier for the ships to dock directly at the island and the planting of more than 75,000 trees and shrubs.
Audiences will have the chance to relive the restoration of the marine ecosystem, which involved the clearing of the seabed, a coral relocation programme and establishing partners with some of the world’s leading marine experts to ensure its future success. The series concludes with the race against the clock to welcome our first guests in December 2019.
Building paradise will be aired on NatGeoTv around the world. Check out the airing dates by region and make sure you tune in!
