Starting from today MSC Voyager Club members are receinving an e-mail with a message from Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, that communicates the extension of members benefit by a year due to the current situation.
Two weeks ago MSC decided to temporary suspend all the cruise operations in light of of the extraordinary circumstances the world is currently facing in connection with the COVID-19 virus. MSC has also announced that at the present time, new cruise embarkations are scheduled to start resuming from 30 April, included, but given the fluidity of situation we encourage you to check periodically our schedule section or contact your MSC local contact center.
Onorato full message is set out below.
The unfortunate events of the past few months have made it difficult to travel, and even worse, they have made our own lives more challenging.
During this difficult time, MSC Cruises is close to its guests, its employees, and naturally you: our Voyagers Club member.
For this reason, I have decided to extend your member benefit by a year. Those like yourself, who cherish travelling and cruises and wish to continue dreaming with us, are going to be able to do so by keeping same member points and status for an extra year.
If your card is expired this year or is set to expire in 2020, its validity will be automatically extended to 31 December 2021 with unvaried point balance and status.
We will make it through this together, and we will find ourselves on board once again, to continue exploring new worlds and cultures. We will soon send your way extraordinary offers and new fascinating itineraries.
Lastly, I thank you for both having chosen us in the past, and for your numerous messages of affection and solidarity. On board our ships we have shared unique memories and emotions and became part of a big family that loves the sea and travelling with MSC Cruises.
Let’s keep dreaming together.
