MSC Splendida has cancelled its last three 4- and 5-night scheduled sailings from Shanghai, China.
44-night Grand Voyage to Europe, originally scheduled to leave on 14 February from Shanghai, will departure from Singapore on the same date. The new itinerary will feature four additional new ports; Langkawi, Penang and Kuala Lumpur (overnight) in Malaysia, plus Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Scheduled calls in Okinawa and Hong Kong are cancelled.
She is currently in Nagasaki and will depart tomorrow.
MSC Splendida 5-days cruise to Japan scheduled to depart on 1st of February from Shanghai is cancelled. Guests booked on this cruise have the option to receive a full refund of their cruise ticket and port charges, or book an alternative sailing on board the Asia inbound MSC Bellissima (MSC地中海荣耀号) with an equivalent price and receiving additional onboard credit, with an embarkation date before May 2021.
Citing urgent guidelines from the Chinese Goverment to combat the spread of the Coronavirus, MSC Cruises announced today on its Weibo account the suspension of MSC Splendida (MSC地中海辉煌号) cruises from Shanghai.
The 5-days cruise to Japan scheduled to depart on 28 January is cancelled. Guests booked on this cruise have the option to receive a full refund of their cruise ticket and port charges, or book an alternative sailing with an equivalent price and receiving additional onboard credit, with an embarkation date before the end of the year.
MSC Splendida just left the port of Naha, Japan with the course for Shanghai to disembark guests currently on board. The ship is planned to remain in port for the duration of the cruise, until 1st of February.
“We will continue to closely monitor the public health and safety situation in China and are consulting with international and local health authorities, as well as the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China, and strictly follow their advice and recommendations. Guests and Travel Partners have been informed and will be kept abreast of any further changes as the situation evolves” stated MSC.
