MSC Cruises appoints Paolo Raia as MD of Food & Beverage Division

MSC Cruises has appointed Paolo Raia as Managing Director of the Company’s Genoa, Italy-based Food and Beverage Division. He begins his new role today, reports to MSC Cruises’ CEO Gianni Onorato and joins the line’s senior management team.

He has significant industry-specific experience, especially in procurement and logistics. In the cruise sector Paolo has effectively shaped and led a global sourcing strategy transformation across a range of brands and with teams across four continents.

Paolo was previously with Carnival Corporation for nearly seven years, most recently as Vice President – Global Strategic Sourcing in Miami, a role he started in March 2016. Prior to entering the cruise industry, Paolo spent 11 years at management consultancy firm Accenture where he led transformation projects across a range of industries. He holds an Executive MBA in General Management from Milan’s SDA Bocconi School of Management and an economics degree from the Sapienza University of Rome.
